Easter Sunday came on quietly this year... Rather than our usual hub-bub of egg-hunting it was a quiet and relaxed time watching Emma Auch hunt for colored eggs in the backyard as the adults chatted and sipped their coffee. The Potts’ continued to gawk at the impossibly nice weather and soon Chris called to let us know he was on his way over with the girls. When he arrived we spent some time adjusting the timing on the splitty as it had been pinging a bit on Saturday. It turned out that Jamie’s timing light’s “advance” feature had interfered with its settings so we re-timed it with my light and once the carbs were re-adjusted to idle properly the bus ran a whole lot better.
Once we were done with the bus Chris helped diagnose my issues with the Wifi connection in the basement and before he left we took a look at the video capture I had done on the way there. The results were good but I needed to straighten out some bugs if I was going to capture larger clips.
It turned out that I needed to re-partition the laptop’s hard disk. Since it was a Mac I was able to back everything up, reformat the HD and re-install the OS in time for dinner at the local chinese buffet. After we got back from dinner Jamie and I worked on hooking up rope lights on the double-door’s roofracks and then I reloaded the bus so that we would be ready to hit the highway and head to the coast in the morning.
By now I am more relaxed than I have been in years.
