Our family has been going to Everybus since 2001. We wouldn’t miss it for the world... It’s always an adventure getting there and the people there are tons of fun to hang out with.
So in January we’re planning the trip over dinner when my buddy Adam suggests that we should take off on Easter weekend and enjoy some sightseeing on the way down. Head to the Outer Banks and put our feet up for a few days. By leaving ONE day earlier, we can add a three-day weekend to our time off, and the trip won’t be such a hurry. Unfortunately Adam and Heather are not able to join us, but we decide to take the plunge anyway and the trip is planned in three stages: Easter Weekend with the Auch Family in Winston-Salem, down to the Outer Banks on Monday returning inland for EveryBus on Thursday. To fit all this fun into the schedule we leave town on a full week before Everybus.
On the afternoon of April 13th,2006 we loaded the clan in the bus and headed out; this blog is the story of our 10-day, 2,400-mile adventure.
