Here's what we're doing...

We've been busy with other projects, but Franklin is now back underway.

We have decided on a theme for Franklin, he is going to be made over into a Baja Bus, with HUGE tires, a lifted suspension,  lights, bumpers, mudguards, skidplates and more!

Right now we're working on the bodywork and finishing off the refurb of a 1.8L 412 engine to power Franklin. Stay tuned, we're bound to have more news on this page soon.

Franklin!


The latest Potts' project is the 1975 VW camper pictured above.
He's called "Franklin" in honour of his lichen-encrusted green shell.
Franklin came to us in need of substantial TLC.
That's fine by us, we were looking for a project anyway.

Franklin needs attention in a number of areas:
  • Rocker panels and outer box frames. 
  • There is a small hole in the slider track.
  • Tires
  • Battery
  • Rear brakes and backing plates
  • Paint
  • Vacuum hose replacement
  • Starter
  • Fuel lines and filter
  • Seat padding


These details will be dealt with this winter,
with the hope of having Franklin roadworthy
by the BusFusion Campout in late May.

As you can see from the pics below,
Franklin has a 1976-style interior that is
in much better condition than his exterior.

Franklin has a 12v fridge, sink and cabinet, and a swivel passenger seat,
