Other Westfakias

"Poor Richard" Palmer put a late bay-window pop-top onto his splitwindow bus, and created a very artistic Westfakia.

Other Buses

Collison Corner owns a Sage-Green 79 Automatic westy named "booger" and a cool white custom sunroof bus.
Sean Rennie has a real nice looking 76 westy. His site has pictures of it and other Buses he's come across.
Save the Bays.org Is a site dedicated to preserving the Bay-window heritage.

Info:

There's a smorgasboard of info at www.Type2.com. Sign up for the mailing list, have a look at the Library, and don't forget to consult the Archives before you ask about oil or tires.

Parts:

The Bus Depot  specializes in bus parts from 55-89, and often has stuff that's NLA everywhere else.

eBay.com probably has Westfalia components selling right this very moment. Sometimes you'll even see a Westfakia for sale, but not mine!

John's Bug Shop in Niagara Falls has lots of parts and helps sponsor many of my favorite events.

Events:

Don't forget to drive your Westfakia to EveryBus in Greensboro N.C. and BusFusion in Ottawa, Ontario.

Buses By the Falls is a great Bus campout in Niagara Falls, Ontario. It's held the same weekend as the June Jitterbug. In 2001 we had 4 generations of Buses there, from a 1960's German fire truck to a 1996 Winnebago conversion.

Buses of the Corn is a bus-oriented campout I'm running at Heber Down Conservation area in Whitby, Ontario. It's held the weekend of the Great Canadian Bug Show. August 16th to 18th, 2002. We had 15 buses and two beetles there last year from as far east as Quebec, and from west as far as Kitchener/Waterloo.

Get your own Westfakia logo in PDF Format here. A sign-making shop with a vinyl-cutter should be able to process this file so you can make your Westfakia official!
